About Dorla Schlitt
Biography:
Dorla Schlitt is a teacher who always loved to interact with students in both the public and Christian school environment for many years. Interestingly, she found her true passion now lies in sharing the Gospel through writing materials for children, youth, and adults to share together in a common learning experience.
Broadman & Holeman published her six-book series, Celebrate Teaching Bible, Truths Through Arts and Crafts. Splash, an early childhood curriculum, was published by Thomas Nelson to accompany Max Lucado's The Come Thirsty Church Experience.
Dorla and her husband, John Schlitt, the lead singer for the Christian band, PETRA, have been married for over fifty years. She authored The PETRA Prayer Warrior Devotional to accompany PETRA's album This Means War!
Dorla and John live in Franklin, TN. enjoying their children and grandchildren.
